THIS WEEK'S REVIEW: A VOW TO CHERISH |
How far would you go to keep you wedding vows? A Vow to Cherish seeks to answer that question.
It's about a family who starts off great. The husband's career is on the rise, the wife is an esteemed teacher, and they have two children. However, without warning, the wife discovers she has an illness that will cause her to loose her memory. As the disease starts to take hold of her life, the family begins to break down. How will they recover? Will the wife get better? Will the husband continue to stay committed to God, despite the circumstances? Will the husband stay committed to his wife, even with her condition?
This is a solid film. It's got great characters, a great story, and a great message! If you're married, this is a must watch film. If you aren't married, this is a must watch film, too. The married couples can see the film and be encouraged to keep their marriage strong. To people who aren't married, this is a great movie to drive the point that being married isn't something to take lightly. Marriage takes commitment.
The movie is actually based on the book "A Vow to Cherish" by Deborah Raney. You can check out the book here. The book also has a sequel, which continues the story of A Vow to Cherish called "Within This Circle." You can check out that book here.
If you've seen Fireproof, or just want a great movie about marriage, make sure to check out A Vow to Cherish on DVD!
