THIS WEEK'S REVIEW: ABE AND THE AMAZING PROMISE |
The VeggieTales series continues to grow in episodes with the release Abe and the Amazing Promise, which focuses on learning to be patient. This VeggieTales video includes two stories and one silly song.
The first story is a comical retelling of the story of Abraham, but it isn't done in the biblical retelling style of past episodes. In this episodes, Bob and Junior travel back in time to interview Abraham and Sarah. Along the way, Junior Asparagus learns about being patient.
Next, there is the silly song, "Sneeze if You Need to". This is one of the CRAZIEST silly songs to date. Words can't describe it. You have to watch it for yourself to see the craziness!
In the closing story, Bob and Larry play inventors. However, Larry is very impatient in his inventing, and tries to take shorts cuts everywhere he can to get through it fast. These actions always lead to the inventions not working too well. But as a crisis happens in his local town, he has to learn that being patient will help him solve the problem.
Phil Vischer, the creator of VeggieTales, didn't write this episode, so it doesn't have that feeling that comes to an episode when he writes the script for it. This one has a lot more slapstick humor than other VeggieTales episodes. But that doesn't mean this one is bad.
Overall, this is another solid VeggieTales episode. It has a great message and a fun story. And as always, the production quality is top notch!
